When a licensed establishment over-serves a guest, or serves a guest under the legal drinking age, they set in motion a chain of events that can lead to significant bodily injury, even death, as well as property damage, lawsuits, civil and criminal penalties, fines, jail time, and loss of liquor license and business income. The stakes are too high to risk it. According to National Specialty Underwriting Inc., statistics show that the average amount of a claim involving liquor service is $70,194. They can, however, be in the millions of dollars. The use of our services goes a long way to demonstrate your “reasonable efforts” in the responsible sale of alcohol, and may serve to lower your liquor liability insurance rates, (please consult your Insurance Agent for specific information). Individual States also levy millions of dollars in fines each year against licensed establishments for violating other provisions of their Liquor Codes.
We offer a comprehensive INDEPENDENT evaluation of responsible alcohol service at your venue. Through the use of covert observation and program analysis we will provide valuable information regarding the effectiveness of your responsible alcohol sales policies. Hopefully, you already have a responsible alcohol program in place and may even require your employees participate in alcohol service training. We have found that most venues feel they have a strong program in place, only to find out that their policies are in fact, not being carried out by their employees, or that the program/training in place is simply not strong enough. After our complete investigation and analysis, you will know for certain whether or not your program is working. We will provide a comprehensive report detailing your alcohol service program, it’s strengths and weaknesses, and recommendations for improvement. We have provided this service to numerous venues, including Charlotte Bobcat's Arena, and Atlanta's Georgia Dome.
After meeting with you to determine your existing policies and specific needs, our Consultant will attend an event at your venue and covertly observe your employees, determining their effectiveness in checking IDs of potential underage patrons, handling intoxicated patrons, adherence to venue specific alcohol service policies, and compliance with local liquor regulations. Our Consultant will then meet with you again to discuss the findings of the evaluation and make specific recommendations for improvement. A comprehensive written report will also be provided. Our Consultant can also speak to your employees as a group and assist in implementing and enforcing your new responsible alcohol sales and compliance program. We also offer employee alcohol service training through the TIPS Organization, (www.gettips.com).
Our rates are determined by venue size, specific needs, and travel costs.
During the course of our evaluation we can also address any concerns you may have in the areas of employee theft and customer service at your request.
Whether you are a Concessionaire, Venue Manager, Sports Team, or Sports League, our services make good economic and social sense. The laws of "Common Negligence", (please consult your Attorney for details), could put you at risk of exposure in the event of an alcohol related incident.
Other large venue industries we serve: Casinos, Retail Chains, Amusement Parks, Cruise Ships, Resort Hotels, Convention Centers, Race Tracks, Ball Parks, Golf Courses, Colleges, and Universities.
The below quote is from a recent large venue Client:
"We found your evaluation to be exactly what we needed and, although we have shared it with a very small group, it has proven to be an effective tool to improve our alcohol management. All of those individuals you mentioned in your report have been either terminated or disciplined. Best of all, everyone knows we are serious about alcohol management by bringing in an independent person to evaluate our operation. (Concessions) management was thrilled (seriously) to have the information as sometimes their words fall on deaf ears and your evaluation will serve as the "I told you so" they need."
